Mini VIFFF Workshops: Animation, Dubbing, Filmmaking !
This year again, the VIFFF is offering children and young people the chance to discover cinema by getting hands-on! Animation, dubbing, screenwriting, filming and editing are all on the agenda for four workshops designed to let participants experiment with different ways of creating images and stories.
Animation Workshop
The Fairground Menagerie – ages 6 and up
Two days to discover pixilation and stop-motion animation and bring strange creatures to life on the streets of Vevey! The children come up with ideas and make their own films, and the results are screened during the VIFFF.
📅 Over two days, from Thursday 22nd to Friday 23rd October 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (please bring a packed lunch)

Dubbing Workshop
Improvised dubbing – ages 12 and up
How about reimagining the dialogue from a film, a TV series or a manga? This fun workshop combines theatrical improvisation and voice-over work to create brand-new scenes on the spot! No experience necessary.

Intro to Stop-Motion
Free discovery – for everyone
Whether with family or friends, for 30 minutes or the whole afternoon, come and discover at your own pace how to make an animated film, frame by frame! You’ll be able to experiment and bring the creatures of the Ménagerie Foraine to life, under the guidance of a Silence Saturne facilitator.

Film Course at LAFABRIK
Making a comedy film – ages 8 and up
This year again, the VIFFF is delighted to be collaborating with LAFABRIK! Take part in a film workshop led by Gabriel Murisier and discover every stage of the process of creating a comedy film, from writing to editing. The finished film will then be screened at the VIFFF.
