Next edition: October 21–25, 2026 – Vevey, Switzerland

The VIFFF – Vevey International Funny Film Festival is Switzerland’s only festival entirely dedicated to comedy films, and one of the few festivals in the world devoted to independent comedy.

Since its creation in 2015, VIFFF has championed a diverse, inclusive and daring vision of comedy, with the belief that humour offers a unique way of looking at the world and bringing people together. Each year, the festival takes place in the heart of Vevey, on the shores of Lake Geneva, at the end of October.

VIFFF’s programme unfolds through several sections: an International Competition, VIFFF Explore, Swiss Comedies, midnight screenings, short films, a young audience programme, a free Open Air, thematic focuses and retrospectives. Through screenings, conversations, masterclasses and special events, the festival invites audiences to discover new voices, explore the history of the genre and meet established figures of comedy. Alongside these activities, the ÉC’RIRE writing residencies support emerging talents and the development of new comedy projects.

With its distinctive programme, lively atmosphere and scenic lakeside setting, the VIFFF has become a unique gathering place for comedy lovers, filmmakers and audiences from Switzerland and beyond.
