Dante Hicks, an employee at a convenience store in New Jersey, sees his working day turn into a nightmare. Forced to work on his day off, he has to deal with a succession of difficult customers, personal setbacks and existential discussions with his colleague Randal. Kevin Smith’s first cult feature film, Clerks, transforms the routine of a dead-end job into a comedy about everyday frustrations.
