Casting presents: The Experts
An improv show by the Lausanne Impro collective
Length: 2 x 45 min (with intermission)
Inspired by real jobs. A film improvised live.
As part of its “Funny Business” focus, the VIFFF is hosting Casting’s new show: The Experts. At each performance, the Lausanne Impro collective invites a specialist to talk about their profession and their obsessions, ranging from bees to black holes, and from tax law to pruning rose bushes. The troupe turns this into a funny and unique improvised show, somewhere between documentary theatre and cinema.
Language: French
Starring: Laetitia Mischler (dir.), Adrien Knecht, Adrien Mani, Yacine Nemra & Anita Rodriguez
Funny Business
The VIFFF is dedicating its 2026 thematic focus to workplace comedies. From the Industrial Revolution to artificial intelligence, via the rise of office-based employment, the world of work has been constantly changing — with its dreams of progress as well as its disillusionments.
Combining satire of capitalism with a critique of power dynamics, this selection humorously explores the absurdities of our everyday working lives.
