Inspectors Crab and Conrad of the Perpignan police force are transferred to Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, in Alsace, to investigate the disappearance of a ring. The case, which at first glance seems very straightforward, turns into a complex investigation, disrupting the routines of the two die-hard bachelors. A pair of not particularly sharp but endearing cops, who introduce us to the charm of the Grand Est region and its people.
