Workshop: The Fairground Menagerie
An animation workshop to discover the techniques of pixilation and stop motion!
Ages 6 and up.

Discover pixilation and stop motion, and bring strange creatures to life on the streets of Vevey!
The Fairground Menagerie is an animation workshop where children can create and imagine their own films.
With Halloween just round the corner, the workshop is steeped in an atmosphere inspired by 1950s science-fiction films, with a nod to the grand master of stop-motion, Ray Harryhausen. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring fantastical, eerie or downright funny creatures to life!
Children will bring to life a colony of oversized insects and the puppets from Silence Saturne. The VIFFF festival becomes a huge playground where the creatures and participants come to life frame by frame! This special effect allows for every possible scenario, from the most fantastical to the most zany.
📅 Over two days, from Thursday 22nd to Friday 23rd October 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (please bring a packed lunch)
📍 Salle del Castillo, Vevey
🎂 Children aged 6 and over, on their own or with a parent (as preferred)
